About the Movement
Defenders of the Christian Faith Movement is an evangelical movement of churches, ministries, and organizations advancing the Kingdom of God together.
Founded in 1945 by Drs. José and Gloria Hernández, the Defenders of the Christian Faith Movement was born from a vision to fulfill the Great Commission. Over the decades, that vision has grown into a fellowship of churches, ministries, and organizations serving communities throughout the United States while extending ministry across Mexico, Central and South America, Europe, and Africa.
Our motto, “Back to the Bible,” reflects our conviction that God’s Word remains our highest authority. It shapes our doctrine, guides our ministry, and calls us to faithful service in a changing world.
